| Long description | University degree in engineering, sciences or information technology
• Technical skills required:
- Basics in C, C++, SQL
- Knowledge of COBOL is of advantage
- Experience in using CVS-tools in IT-projects is of advantage
- Experience in shell scripting
• The following interpersonal skills are essential
- Very good command of spoken and written English
- Good command of spoken and written German is of advantage
- Very good communication skills, understanding of complex interrelations in bigger IT projects and organizing abilities
- Initiative, responsibility, toughness and distinct abilities to work in a team
Tasks:
• Integrating software packages by using concurrent version system (CVS) tools under Open VMS
• Quality assurance of delivered software under formal aspects
• Delivering software packages to the group-wide Configuration Management and Quality Assurance department in Frankfurt
• Installing software into different test environments used by the application development
• Enhancing existing and developing new configuration management tools
• Supporting project management in terms of planning and tracking of software deliveries |
