| Short description | Sales and Operations Planning
Lead and manage Harman Consumer Sales and Operations Planning process the division’s diverse product portfolio and sales channels. Leads monthly reviews. Partner with stakeholders in sales, marketing, finance, supply planning and order administration teams to maximize customer fulfillment while concurrently minimizing working capital investment. Ensure alignment with division’s financial plans. Establish S&OP best practices in order to achieve consistency and efficiency of operations.
Lead S&OP strategy transformation with best-in-class processes and leveraging technology. Research, recommend, justify and implement analytical tools to achieve business goals. Develop, monitor and continually enhance integrated S&OP metrics to achieve operational, customer and financial performance goals. Partner with key customer accounts to develop HCG’s collaborative planning, forecasting and replenishment initiatives. Partner with supply planning and transportation to successfully manage product transitions, both end of life and new product introductions. Lead resolution of demand/supply imbalances with key stakeholders.
Demand Analytics
Creation, management, measurement and continual improvement of analytic forecasting process.
Present recommended monthly forecast adjustments and assumptions to cross-functional S&OP team to achieve consensus forecast. Utilize fact-base approach to challenge assumptions inconsistent with brand strategy and highlight risks and opportunities. Ensure agreements are incorporated into operational plans. Translate monthly forecast to executable and effective DC level demand signal for supply planning. Analyze key customer accounts across sales channels to highlight trends with associated drivers, risks and opportunities to key stakeholders. Use as a basis for minimizing forecast error. Lead development of retail replenishment modeling to accurately predict sector demand for active products. Partner with sales channel and marketing to manage impact on forecast of specific demand driving initiatives, market conditions, customer specific variables and product interdependencies. Research, recommend, justify and implement analytical tools to achieve objectives. Requires in-depth understanding of relevant demand drivers and how to apply the appropriate forecasting method to predict their impact in ongoing forecasts. |
| Long description | Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business or related field with undergraduate statistical analysis or engineering focus. (Master’s degree preferred) IBF certification (CPF or ACPF) or equivalent would be strong advantages.
Experience: 4-7 years of applicable Supply Chain Planning, preferably demand forecasting and inventory management, at a consumer products company with global operations. Demonstrated ability in leading S&OP processes effectively. Proven ability to conduct complex, quantitative and statistical analyses complimented with qualitative inputs from multiple sources to draw conclusions and make recommendations. A track record of successfully delivering to business objectives against schedule and quality expectations. Project management experience and familiarity with common ERP systems is preferred, especially SAP. Position requires a high level proficiency with MS Excel and Access, reporting software (ie. SAP/BW), SAP APO and strong Word and PowerPoint skills. Familiar with implementing key performance metrics as a basis for process improvement. Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous priorities. Excellent communication, teamwork and leadership skills.
Position is located in Northridge, CA. Travel will be 10% or less. |
